I have been a traveling machine. It has been quite the adventure. I finally got a weekend off of work. I can't even remember the last time my boss gave me a Saturday and a Sunday off without me having to request it. So I thought I would seize this opportunity of a lifetime and capitalize on it. This is my first summer out here in Idaho, and we always have people coming into work on their way to Yellowstone. I always have to tell them that I've never been but heard it was beautiful. So I told Tiff I want to go real bad. It just so happened that her dad was coming into town and we were suppose to go to the lake with their wave runner. Apparently it wasn't fixed yet so we had to cancel that plan. Instead, on Saturday we went to Jackson Hole. We went with Adam and LeDawn and their friends and we just ate and walked around. The shops there are very entertaining, and they also had a fair going on. Which was pretty sketchy, but that's what makes a fair a fair right??
Then today we went to church and after Tiff's dad took us to Yellowstone. I had no idea how much driving was involved. Needless to say it was still AMAZING. I just really love nature. It is really just so beautiful to me. The colors and the fact that is took hundreds of years to create such magnificent things fascinates me. There's really not a whole lot to do there, but just looking at the naturally formed hot springs, and seeing animals roam around freely is enough for me. I'm pretty easy to please when nature is around. I just love to observe it, not so much hike/hunt/be in it.
My mother took the good camera so I am stuck with the crapy camera that is ancient! So as usual, these pictures don't do it justice... but I don't think many pictures do. It's something you need to experience for yourself to feel the amazingness.
This is the one picture from Jackson. (thanks LeDawn)
YELLOWSTONE
That's Papa Bostrom leading the way
I was a little bored waiting for Old Faithful to start.
Then she finally blew...
Our Hawaiian/Swedish little family
A HUGE shout out to Papa Bostrom. He was my replacement dad and supported me in my consumption of food this weekend. He also provided the transportation and the Yellowstone fee. He's a tender man.
And with my new segment I randomly decided to add a few posts back, I am going to do a song post. So today's song post is The Weepies! I love them a lot. I extra love this song. It makes me feel happy inside no matter what. Embrace the happiness.
